Jennifer Rinker

DESCRIPTIVE BIO
Ms. Rinker's practice primarily involves the representation of electric and natural gas clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, other federal agencies, and the federal courts. This representation includes work on electric tariff implementation and compliance matters as well as natural gas rate and certificate matters.

Ms. Rinker is a former attorney-advisor for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's Office of General Counsel, where she gained valuable agency-level experience in a host of matters relevant to energy industry players.

Ms. Rinker had the privilege to serve as law clerk to FERC Chairman Jon Wellinghoff in his private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada and with the Environmental Protection Agency's Region III Office of General Counsel.

Before attending law school, Ms. Rinker was an Environmental Specialist with Williams Gas Pipeline - Transco, where she participated in the certification, environmental review, and construction of interstate natural gas pipeline across the country, including the 2003 Kern River Expansion Project.

EDUCATION:
Ms. Rinker earned her J.D. from the College of William & Mary in 2006, where she served on the Editorial Staff of the Environmental Law & Policy Review. She earned her B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 and received her M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998. Ms. Rinker was a post-graduate Fellow at the Georg-August Universität in Göttingen, Germany.

BAR ADMISSION
Ms. Rinker is a member of the Virginia Bar. Her practice is limited to matters and proceedings before federal courts and agencies. She is admitted only in Virginia. 

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS/ADVANCEMENTS
Ms. Rinker is a Registered Professional Archaeologist with survey and excavation experience in the American Southwest, most notably on the Gila River Indian Community south of Phoenix, Arizona.
